The German University in Cairo invites applications for the following vacancies to be filled at the beginning or during the academic year 2017/2018.
The Physics Department offers introductory and advanced Physics-related courses for all students of Engineering and Pharmacy Faculties and M.Sc. program in Physics. Currently the Physics department is developing a research program, which includes Applied / Engineering Physics in cooperation with other Faculties.
The German University in Cairo is seeking highly qualified academic staff to join the Physics department. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct introductory courses for Engineering and Pharmacy students with a diverse High school background. Develop and establish research programs in Physics in cooperation with other Faculties. He/ She will be required to Teach advanced Physics-related courses in Engineering / Pharmacy
- PhD in Physics (Preferably Experimental / Applied Physics with links to Engineering / Life Sciences)
- Strong teaching interest and experience, preferably with Engineering / Science students (Physics as foundation subject) with strong student‘s orientation
- Openness for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Readiness to do start-up work for the development of research programs
