Kiel University intends to attract more qualified women for professorships.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Kiel University, Ger­many, invites applications for the following position to be filled as soon as possible:

Professorship (W2) in Nanooptics

at the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics.

Candidates should be internationally recognized in the field of nano­optics. The successful candidate will develop optical spectroscopies and microscopies (THz to UV/VIS) and use them for investigations of nanoscale structures, low-dimensional systems, solids, or liquid-solid interfaces. An active participation in collaborative projects at Kiel University is desirable.

Full participation in the experimental physics education (BSc and MSc levels) and the capability to teach in German (after 3 years) and Eng­lish are expected. Teaching duties are based on the latest State Regu­lations for Universities (LVVO) of the State of Schleswig-Holstein. The teaching load currently is 9 hours per term week.
