Post doctoral Fellowships

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Philosophy/Department of Philosophy invites applications (depending on the availability of the project) for the following positions, starting October 1st, 2017:

3 Post doctoral Fellowships

(full-time positions, initially terminated for 3 years)
standard public service salary: Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L

The positions will be affiliated with the Forschungskolleg Analytic German Idealism. AOS: Open
AOC: Some aspect of the German philosophical tradition from Kant to Wittgenstein

Duties:
  • conception of and participation in research projects of the Department of Philosophy
  • teaching (2 courses per year)
  • assistance in planning and preparing events associated with the FAGI
  • academic self-administration
  • independent research
Requirements:
  • PhD in Philosophy
In the selection of candidates, the following criteria will all play an important role:
  • quality of previous research and publications
  • fit of the candidate's research profile with the research program of the FAGI and the research foci of the Department of Philosophy
  • international and especially transatlantic experience
