The Department of Analytical Chemistry is offering the following vacancy at the nearest possible date:

PostDoc / Senior Scientist (m/f)

working time 39 h per week, limited to 24 months, with the possibility of extension and possibility of transition into a permanent position (tenure track)

Your tasks:
  • Development of a research programme to improve predictability of environmental transformations of chemicals based on their structure
  • The programme may combine experimental work (high throuput testing) with product analysis and improvement of modelling approaches
  • Acquisition of third-party funding at national and international/European level
  • Establishment of cooperations into sustainable chemistry, environmental engineering and/or chemical's regulation
  • Interaction with authorities and industry
Your profile:
  • Excellent PhD degree in environmental chemistry, environmental sciences (or equivalent), postdoctoral experience preferred
  • Documented expertise in modelling of chemical reactions or theoretical chemistry
  • Challenged by the opportunity to develop a scientific research programme in chemodynamics connected to your own academic career
  • High motivation and interest in multi-disciplinary research
  • Very good skills in communication, teamwork and leadership
