Ordinary Professorship
in Fundamental Theology (100 %)

Scope of functions:
  • Representing the department of fundamental theology in research and teaching (class-room and distance learning)
  • Acquisition of external funding for research
  • Cooperation with the Institute of Social Ethics (ISE), the Centre for Religion, Economics and Politics (ZRWP), the Centre for Comparative Theology and the Centre for Religious Institutional Law (ZRV).
  • Responsibility for administration tasks within the faculty and the university
  • Involvement in the Collegium Xaverianum
Requirements:
  • Doctorate and postdoctoral degree or equivalent qualification in fundamental theology
  • Didactic skills and relevant teaching experience
  • Willingness to undertake interdisciplinary cooperation within theology and the University of Lucerne
  • Teamwork and social skills
  • Experience in the acquisition of external funding
The representative of the department of fundamental theology can represent their discipline in research and teaching in the English language for a transition period of up to one year. They must also be able to cover fundamental theology in the English language in research and teaching after a transition period of five years.
