The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim is looking to fill the following position in the Research Department Digital Economy at the earliest date possible:
Researcher (100 %)
The position involves working on projects in the areas of both academic
research and high-level economic policy advice focused on the topic of
digitalisation. The role requires the application of statistical and econometric
methods frequently used in empirical economic research. This
position is open to PhD students as well as post-doctoral researchers
with experience in a related field of research. The doctorate may be obtained
via the "individual" path or as part of a structured university-based
Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong academic performance
in a completed course of studies (master’s or doctoral degree) in applied microeconomics, business information systems or a similar field of study.
We are looking for candidates with a significant interest in conducting
theoretical, empirical or experimental analyses, as well as a high level of
expertise in econometrics and programming (e.g. with Stata, Python or R).
On top of this, candidates should display a talent for recording facts and
information in an accurate and concise manner and be able to summarise
results effectively in English. Knowledge of German is desirable but not
