The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim is looking to fill the following position in the Research Department Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management at the earliest date possible:
Researcher (100 %)
The central task of the position will be the development and application of theory-based quantitative models for climate and energy policy analysis based on general equilibrium theory. The incumbent will conduct and manage scientific research projects and challenging economic policy advising projects.
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in environmental or energy economics or a related field. We expect the applicants to have a good knowledge of applied microeconomics, and especially of CGE modelling. On top of this, candidates should display a talent for recording facts and information in an accurate and concise manner and be able to summarise results effectively in English. Knowledge of German is desirable but not essential. The position does not involve any teaching responsibilities.
