Bauhaus Luftfahrt is an interdisciplinary research institution funded by the four aerospace companies Airbus, Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft (IABG), Liebherr-Aerospace, and MTU Aero Engines as well as grants from the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Media, Energy, and Technology. The non-profit association is an internationally oriented think tank. Its team of around 50 employees deals with the future of mobility in general and with the development of air travel in particular. The goal of the research work is to consider the complex system of aviation from different points of view. In every project, the technical, economic, social, and ecological aspects are considered holistically.

Economist as Researcher (m/f) in the field of Environmental or
In 2011, the EU Commission defined the long-term goals for aviation by formulating the "Flightpath 2050" challenging future
prospects of air transport. There is a common understanding that fulfilling Flightpath 2050 goals will only be possible through
a strong collaboration between aviation stakeholders as well as radical innovations in the field of aircraft technologies and
alternative fuels. Most promising solutions have to be examined and assessed holistically in terms of their economy and
ecology for various aviation and non-aviation stakeholders
Innovation Economics or Econometrics
- University degree in economics in the field of environmental or innovation economics or econometrics, ideally with PhD
- Research or professional experience in the transport sector is beneficial
- Various scientific, peer reviewed journal publications and conference presentations
- Very good analytical skills and confident application of relevant methods, modelling and analysis tools
- Profound team work abilities and willingness to participate and contribute to an interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency in English
