Full Professorship (W3) in Inorganic Chemistry

starting on 1st of October 2018.
We are seeking an internationally renowned scientist with an excellent track record in inorganic chemistry, preferably in coordination chemistry or metal organic chemistry. The new research group should complement and strengthen the existing research activities at the University of Potsdam and at other universities and non-university research institutes in the Brandenburg-Berlin capital region. Active participation in the German Excellence Strategy is expected.
The successful candidate should have an excellent publication record, a strong external research funding history, and experience with the management of an internationally renowned research group. Cooperation with existing and new research networks at the University and beyond, an active role in the establishment of international research networks and experience and active participation in the academic selfgovernment are expected. The teaching load is eight hours per week to Chemistry and Chemical Education B.Sc. and M.Sc. students as well as to students minoring in chemistry. We expect excellence in teaching in German and English and the willingness to develop and implement innovative teaching formats in lectures and laboratory courses.
The qualifications necessary for an appointment under Section 41 of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (Brandenburgisches Hochschulgesetz, BbgHG) apply.
