An appointment to a professorship is to be made at ESB Business School in the winter semester 2018/2019 or later:

W2-Professorship

Business Administration, with emphasis on Strategic Management and Leadership (Reference number 101/2017)
The appointed professor will be responsible for teaching especially in the fields of Strategic Management and Leadership in English speaking undergraduate and graduate (incl. MBA) programs at ESB Business School. Willingness and ability to teach courses in one or more adjacent topic areas, such as business process management, organizational behavior, or change management, are expected. The appointed professor is supposed to conduct practice-oriented research leading to peer-reviewed journal publications.
Given the deliberately broad scope of the fields of teaching and research, extensive practical experience in business administration is expected. International experience is an advantage.
The willingness and proficiency of teaching in English are prerequisites. Aptitude and readiness to take on tasks in the university‘s self-administration are expected. In general, candidates must also demonstrate:
  • Successful completion of appropriate university studies
  • Special competence in academic work, typically evidenced by a doctoral degree and scholarly publications
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience after completion of studies, at least three years of which must be outside of a university
Reutlingen University emphasizes topics such as Digital Transformation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Experience (practical or scholarly) in these areas is advantageous.
