The Vogel lab invites applications for a postdoc position to work on noncoding RNAregulators in organisms of the microbiome.Weareparticularly interested in RNA molecular mechanisms of functional noncoding transcripts as well as in RNA-binding proteins. For research themes and newly developed techniques such as Dual RNA-seq and Grad-seq techniques, see some of our recent publications (WestermannAJ et al. (2016) Nature 529:496-501; SmirnovAet al. (2016) PNAS 113:11591-6; Chao Y & Vogel J (2016) Molecular Cell 61:352- 363; Papenfort K et al. (2013) Cell 153:426-37).

The successful applicant will work in the dynamic environment of the Vogel labat the IMIB and the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI). The position will be based onE13 salary range, and funded for up to three years. Part time employment is also possible.
