The Luxembourg School of Religion & Society is an institution of research and higher education that brings together under the same roof and even in the same projects professors, researchers, doctoral students and auditors from different languages, disciplines, cultures and religions. It is characterized by its openness and the dialogue it generates between its members and visitors to work on current issues by integrating critically the contribution of the great religious traditions. As the LSRS is building an international thematic research network, we are looking for a:

Academic Network Leader (m/f/d)

LSRS Global Network on Trust

Purpose of the mission: You will be responsible to develop and establish the academic, legal, organizational and operational infrastructure of the new LSRS Global Network on Trust. In this capacity you will establish working relationships with like-minded colleagues around the world, organize events, and recruit and develop network staff.

You will be assisted by an Office Manager and collaborate with other Colleagues who are based in multiple continents and require flexible and innovative support.

Skills required for the function:

• Doctorate degree in Catholic Theology and expertise in a second discipline;
• At least 10 years of experience in international project management in the academic field;
• Ability to develop one’s own research in an international network;
• Project, organisational and institutional management skills;
• Academic research project design, management and, delivery skills in the academic field of “Trust”;
• Ability to promote results amongst potential users through appropriate media;
• Outstanding personal and professional interpersonal skills, capable of developing partnerships between colleagues and partners at all levels;
• Outstanding media and communications skills across multiple and diverse platforms;
• Event organization capabilities;
• Good interpersonal network management;
• Experience in project funding proposal drafting.

What we offer:

• 3 years fixed-term contract. Possibility of permanent position in a rank of Associate Professor after successful evaluation. Full time position (40hours/week);
• Flexible working hours, to be distributed throughout the working week and may sometimes involve working from home, and outside of normal office hours;
• Remuneration package based on experience and academic records;
