Job description:
You will work in a team of researchers in a modern laboratory environment on the development of a novel process for the growth of high-quality Ge and Si crystals for different fields of applications. Our group has long-term experience in the growth of Ge, Si and SiGe single crystals with Czochralski-technique on labor scale including the growth of high purity Ge and Si.
Your duties include management of projects in field of the growth of Ge crystals, planning, realization and evaluation of experiments as well as publication of the results in international journals and on conferences.
  • Ph.D. in physics (preferred in solid state physics or physics of semiconductors), material science, chemical and process engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience in the fields of Ge or Si crystal growth, preferable Czochralski method, and methods of semiconductor characterization
  • Scientific writing competence in English language
  • Hands-on mentality and goal-oriented, collaborative work style
The position is available as soon as possible and its duration is limited to two years, with the possibility of extension. Payment is according to TVöD (collective labour agreement for German public service). IKZ is an equal opportunity employer.
