EIT Health was created in 2015 by a consortium of around 140 leading life sciences companies, research institutes and universities in Europe, with the aim to deliver new solutions that can enable European citizens to live longer, healthier lives. For that purpose, it supports the creation of start-ups, develops new products and services and trains students. It is funded by EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), an independent EU body, and the consortium members, with an annual grant of around ?80 million, as well as by the consortium members.
EIT Health has its head office in Munich, Germany, and has regional co-location centres in Rotterdam, Paris, Mannheim, Solna (Sweden), Barcelona and London, as well as EIT Innostars in Budapest. It has a permanent staff of around 80 people. More information can be found on www.eithealth.eu.
EIT Health now wants to attract a new Chief Operating Officer.
Chief Operating Officer, EIT Health
The COO is the operational leader of EIT Health and essentially the oil in the complex machine of EIT Health. Main accountabilities are:
Lead the EIT Health back office and lead daily operations
Prepare, monitor and report on the annual business plan
Take care of other reporting requirements of EIT
Supervise financial, legal, IT, HR, PMO and data management
You report to the CEO and are based in Munich. You work closely together with the other members of the Management Board and the co-locations centres.
Candidates should fulfil following criteria:
Experience in a similar role, managing/optimising business processes and project management, involving aspects of financial and IT
management, in an international organisation
Be fluent in English
Be well-organised, decisive, proactive, ambitious
Be people-oriented, inspiring to others
Have strong communication and influencing talent, skilled in navigating a complex ecosystem
Be passionate about EIT Health's mission to enable people to live longer and healthier lives
