University of Stuttgart and Eberhard Karls Universität Tuebingen offer in the interdisciplinary Research Training Group (RTG) 2543 "Intraoperative multi-sensor tissue identification in oncology"
up to 3 Clinician Scientists (50 %)
(TVÄ1/2) temporary employment from 1st April 2020. The maximum period of employment is one and a half years.
As the Universities of Stuttgart and Tuebingen intend to increase the proportion of female employees in research and teaching, women are particularly encouraged to apply. Members of the research training group will be required to take their residence in the Stuttgart resp. Tuebingen area
New surgical methods aim to minimize invasiveness, morbidity and duration of the treatment while maximizing the effectiveness. During these surgical interventions, a reliable identification of target structures and surrounding tissue is of major importance for achieving this objective, particularly in the field of oncology. The RTG focuses on intra-operative tissue identification. Please find more information here in

The positions as Clinician Scientists focus in the fields of Urology, Women's Health, and Pathology and Neuropathology.
Doctoral students will enjoy excellent conditions in an interdisciplinary environment and will participate in a systematically structured curriculum, comprising project-oriented guidance in small teams as well as activities of the entire Research Training Group, including a practice-based program. A visiting researcher program will enhance international cooperation and exchange. All participants of the RTG are expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary activities of the RTG.
