The Division of Management offers highly regarded degrees at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and is one of four divisions at the University of Waikato. We are seeking a Director of International Management Programmes to work collaboratively with the Associate Dean Strategic Engagement to provide leadership of the Waikato Management School‘s international strategy, policies and connections as well as achieve a diversified international student intake. You will develop and manage international partnerships and agreements with universities and partner institutions as well as oversee and develop study aboard and international student exchange programmes. The Director International Management Programmes is expected to contribute and provide strategic advice to the Division‘s Leadership team, working closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Associate Deans, Heads of Schools and Directors in the Division.
To succeed in this role you will hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, and experience in a globally oriented education setting. You will demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and stakeholder management, together with a commitment to results-oriented, collaborative and evidence-based ways of working. The preferred applicant will be a skilled communicator, have strong relationship management skills and expertise in strategy development and implementation and be familiar with the recruitment and marketing dimensions of education abroad.
We are open to considering an appointment on a fulltime or part-time basis; applicants should state their preference.
