invites applications for a
Full Professorship (W3) in
„Experimental Physics with a focus on Biophysics“
at the III. Physikalisches Institut – Biophysik to be filled by 1st June 2019.
The successful candidate is expected to sustain a strong research programme in modern experimental biophysics and to have an outstanding
record of internationally recognized research accomplishments. The research topics of the candidate should complement present expertise
of the faculty in a thriving area of biophysics.
We expect a strong commitment to existing and future collaborative initiatives on the Göttingen Campus, in particular regarding the
collaborative research center (CRC) 937. Hosting several CRCs and a large number of research groups in the area of biophysics, the Faculty
of Physics offers a stimulating research and teaching environment with excellent on-site infrastructure.
An appropriate contribution to the research-oriented teaching at the Faculty on all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) is expected.
Conditions for appointment can be found in Section 25 of the Higher Education Law of Lower Saxony. As a Public Law Foundation, the University
