The assistant professorships can be either a fixed-term three-year positions or an open-ended tenure-track positions with a tenure review by the end of the fifth year of employment. The starting date is 1 January 2018 or as agreed upon. Read more about the tenure track employment at Aarhus BSS.
The successful applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the department’s research and teaching environment. At the department, there is a strong focus on research collaborations with business and society, and the applicant is expected to take an active role in these activities. Applicants with research activities involving businesses and society will be preferred.
The applicant is expected to teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Our teaching programs include a MSc in International Business Development, a Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration (HA and BSc), as well as HD and Diplom i Ledelse.
The applicant is expected to conduct research of the highest international standard, which contributes to the development of the academic field.
Applicants for an assistant professorship should hold a PhD or equivalent academic qualifications.
Applicants are requested to provide measures of research output according to the Danish Bibliometric Research Indicator (i.e. level 1 and 2). Other measures of research production and quality such as an H-score, citation-index etc. from a recognized source may also be stated.
Applicants are encouraged to describe how their research is linked to businesses and society. This description could describe concrete collaborations, impact, dissemination activities etc.

Terms of employment
The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State.
