The Technische Universität Ilmenau, Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Physical Chemistry, to be filled from
We are looking for an internationally recognized young researcher with excellent didactic
skills. The successful candidate will be expected to research and teach in an innovative and
future-oriented field of physical chemistry.
We welcome applications from scientists with research experience in the following areas:
Chemistry of nanomaterials
Physicochemical aspects of micro- and nanosystems
Interdisciplinary research collaboration across the faculty and elsewhere within the University
would be an asset.
In addition to excellent research, teaching of undergraduate and graduate level courses in
Physical Chemistry is expected. Essential requirements are pedagogical aptitude and the willingness
to make a significant contribution to the further development of the study programmes.
The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in academic self-administration.
