The Department of Computing at Imperial College London invites applications for full-time faculty members at the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level (comparable to tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professorships) who can contribute to research and teaching, to realise the Department‘s mission to achieve new capability, enhance quality and security, and deeper understanding in foundations and practice in Computer Science. We are recruiting in particular in the following areas:
Theoretical computer science, including but not limited to: algorithms and complexity theory, logic and semantics, foundations of machine learning, and cryptography.
Artificial intelligence, including but not limited to: machine learning, knowledge representation and reasoning, planning, game theory and social choice theory, trustworthiness and explainability.
Software reliability, including but not limited to: verification and security, software engineering, programming languages.
Hardware and systems, including but not limited to: computer architecture, storage and memory systems, networking, verification and security.
Notwithstanding the above focus, exceptional candidates from any area of Computer Science are also encouraged to apply.

You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant field. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to establish outstanding independent research, to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in the Department and to supervise PhD students.

A full CV including a publication list;
A list of the four most significant publications. For each of the four publications, please include a short statement (100 words maximum) highlighting the key contributions made by the applicant in that work;
A research statement that describes your previous research contributions and future research plans (no more than two pages);
A teaching statement that describes your previous teaching experience and potential contributions to teaching in the Department (no more than two pages).
