of Munich is currently looking for a
PhD in Finance in the field of Capital Market Research (m/f/d)
The candidates should have completed (or are completing) a Master's degree or equivalent in Management/Business, Economics, Business Mathematics, or Information Systems
Enthusiasm for conducting high quality and innovative empirical research in Finance
Intellectual curiosity and an interest in pursuing a career in academia
Strong statistical training and quantitative research methods
Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, Stata, or Matlab is highly desirable
Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Superior academic track record
Excellent English language skills
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Müller on research, focusing on Asset Pricing, Asset Management, and Behavioral Finance.
The doctoral candidate will support the teaching activities at the Center for Digital Transformation at TUM Campus Heilbronn.
In addition, the doctoral candidate will participate in the PhD program of TUM School of Management.
