Forschungszentrum Jülich pursues cutting-edge interdisciplinary research on the pressing issues of our time. It helps to solve the
grand challenges facing society in the fields of energy and environment as well as information and the brain. With around 5,900
employees, Jülich – a member of the Helmholtz Association – is one of the large interdisciplinary research centres in Europe.
The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) operates at the Heinz-Maier-Leibnitz-Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching near Munich a suite of high
performance neutron scattering instruments. It provides access to these instuments for scientists from universities and research institutions
in Germany and throughout the world. Within the user program more than 1000 scientists visit the MLZ every year to perform experiments in
the physical, chemical, biological and materials sciences. In addition, JCNS is actively pursuing a research program in the field of soft
matter science and condensed matter physics.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc to join the Neutron cold TAS PANDA team as an instrument scientist to support the user program,
support the Instrument improvement and perform own high profile research in close cooperation with the JCNS Institute JCNS-2 in the field of
structural and magnetic order, fluctuations and excitations in magnetic systems and highly correlatedc electron systems.
We are looking to recruit as soon as possible a
