Postdoctoral Fellow (f/m/d) in Signal Processing
Luleå Tekniska Universitet (LTU)
Postdoctoral Fellow in Signal Processing
Luleå University of Technology is experiencing strong growth with world leading expertise in several areas of research. Our research is conducted in close collaboration with industries such as Bosch, Ericsson, Scania, LKAB, SKF and leading international universities. Luleå University of Technology has a total turnover of SEK 1.7 billion per year, employing 1,650 employees and hosting 15,500 students. We shape the future through innovative education and groundbreaking research. Drawing on our location in the Arctic region, we create global societal benefit.
Research in Signal Processing takes place in the areas of Measurement Technology and Wireless Communications, both fundamentally and applied, and in close cooperation with industry. In general, we seek to understand how to infer relevant information from measured data and further, how to reliably convey such information from one place or time to another. To strengthen our research in the field of wireless communications, we are now looking for a Post doc position with distinct academic ambitions, for a period of one year, with a targeted, possible extension of one additional year.
You will participate in research that falls in the intersection of Signal Processing and Wireless Communications. Ongoing projects today address a wide range of problems such as coverage extension with new large antennas and other technologies that help bridging the digital divide, localization of cellular terminals, radio interference maps, and acoustic communication through solid bodies.
Emerging large antenna structures and intelligent reflective surfaces offer new opportunities for future networks. Therefore, we are specifically looking for a candidate with a passion and qualities for applying statistical signal processing techniques to challenges and scenarions where antenna arrays play a critical role.
Our group is expanding, and we are looking for a new colleague, interested in participating building and expanding the group. The work will include own research, supervision of students and, notably, active participation in our fundraising activities.
To qualify for this position, you must have a Ph.D., a doctoral degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or related subjects, with a specialization in Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, or a similar topic. You should have a good mastering of the English language, both orally and in writing. Experience with antenna arrays, signal processing, and programming is desired.
We prefer that you apply for this position by clicking on the apply button below. The application should include a CV, personal letter and copies of verified diplomas from high school and universities. Your application, including diplomas, must be written in English or Swedish.
