The full-time position is limited until December 31st, 2025. The Cluster of Excellence EXC 2124 “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections (CMFI)” at
the University of Tübingen studies functional interactions in complex microbial communities, the microbiomes, with emphasis on bacterial pathogens and antibiotic resistance.

at the University of Tübingen, the University Hospital Tübingen, and the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in a stimulating, highly interactive research environment,

https://uni-tuebingen.de/en/research/core-research/cluster-of-excellence-cmfi/ The CMFI science management team provides comprehensive support to CMFI scientists, giving them room to focus their full creative potential on performing cutting-edge research.
The scientific writer will:
Support developing, authoring and compiling grant proposals together with CMFI scientists
Support the manuscript writing workflow and oversee implementation of publishing guidelines
Compile and revise manuscripts for CMFI scientists based on their scientific input and provide assistance in preparing figures, schematics and working models
Assist submission of grant proposals and manuscripts
Support project management activities, including compilation of scientific reports
Proof-read scientific texts with regard to various target audiences
Support the CMFI science management team in administrative activities
Ph.D. in a relevant life science discipline, ideally with expert knowledge of microbiology / infection biology / immunology
Excellent communication skills, team player
Excellent English skills are required and good German skills are advantageous
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work according to strict timelines and to prioritize workload
Expert user of MS Office and graphics applications
