About us

The Technopolis Group is an international research and consulting company with over 250 colleagues in twelve offices in Europe, Africa and Latin America. We design, implement and evaluate policy programmes with a focus on research and innovation for regional, national and international public clients.

As a member of our ‘International Cooperation’ team, you will carry out consultancy projects for the German government, the GIZ or the German Academic Exchange Service, for the European Commission and for multilateral organisations (World Bank, African Development Bank). Together with our clients, we work on improving international cooperation in policy areas such as research and innovation, socio-economic development, digital transformation, sustainability, migration or higher education. For example, our team is currently evaluating cooperation with the scientific community in German development policy or supporting the European Commission in implementing an innovation agenda in cooperation with the African Union.

Your tasks

• Evidence-based advice to the public sector in the field of international cooperation 
• Supporting national, European and international/multilateral decision-makers in the development, evaluation and implementation of policies (projects cover e.g. international science cooperation, cooperation of entrepreneurs and innovators, activities of bilateral and multilateral donors in the Global South).
• Cross-office cooperation as part of the 'International Cooperation' team of Technopolis Group
• Creating reports and presentations appropriate for the target audience based on independent conceptual and empirical work
• Project acquisition (preparation of proposals) and networking with cooperation partners and relevant actors
• As a senior consultant: managing acquisition and project teams, liaising with clients, networking with partner organisations

Your profile

• Completed studies in a relevant subject area, solid empirical methodological skills
• At least two years (as a senior consultant at least five years) of professional experience in a comparable field in international cooperation (for senior consultants also experience in project management).
• Teamwork and communication skills, independence and an analytical way of working. Willingness for occasional (partly also international) business trips
• Very good language skills in English required, solid knowledge of German desirable, other languages (e.g. French, Spanish) an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools, if applicable.
