This professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Programme of the German
Federal Goverment and the Federal States.Tasks:
The future holder of the position represents Arts and Art Didactics in the area of
artistic practice, science of art and art education in research and teaching.
Responsibilities include teaching (4 SWS, increasing to 6 SWS after a positive
interim evaluation), supervision of student teachers, empirical research, examination
activities and participation in academic self-administration.
Prerequisites are a completed relevant university degree; the particular qualification
for research work, which is usually proven by the outstanding quality of a relevant
doctorate; a recognizable artistic profile, pedagogical qualification, which is usually
proven by experience in teaching or training; and usually three years of school
The successful applicant is expected to participate in interdisciplinary collaborative
efforts and to be interested in research and teaching in the fields of gender
Furthermore, experience in acquiring third-party funds is desired.
If the candidate has been employed as an academic assistant or academic
staff member before or after the doctorate, the total duration of the doctoral and
employment phases should not exceed 6 years.
The tenure-track professorship is limited to six years. In case of approval, the tenuretrack
professor will be appointed to a professorship (W3). The requirements for
determining the necessary aptitude, qualification and professional performance as
well as the procedure for this are set out in the statutes and the quality management
concept of the University of Education Freiburg for junior professorships and tenuretrack
