University Assistant (with Doctorate/Ph.D. degree) for a six-year position at the Institute for Integrated Quality Design with focus on Circular Economy and Innovation

Job Duties:
- Track A. “Research”
- Contribute to IQD’s interdisciplinary research agenda in the areas of circular business models, sustainability-oriented innovation, product-service systems, circular design strategies and IoT-enabled life cycle management
- Assist and supervise doctoral students (e.g. theory, methodology, empiricism)
- Co-author publications for high-quality international journals and research funding proposals
- Hold university-level courses as part of the Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate degree programmes
- Track B. “Transfer”
- Manage collaboration efforts with industry partners, multi-stakeholder platforms, and government representatives
- Develop practitioner tools and transfer formats based on the institute’s research outputs
- Draft transdisciplinary projects proposals with partners and funding bodies
- Hold university-level classes for Bachelor’s/Master’s degree programmes (optional: MBA): e.g. project-based learning with industry; business simulations
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate holds a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree, or is about to finish the thesis
- Expertise in Circular Economy, Sustainability Innovation, Environmental Management, or related fields
- Passion for research/transfer, high motivation to perform quality work, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong command of spoken and written English (level C1) and German (particularly for transfer track)
- Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed journals (research track) and/or industry (transfer track)

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 4.061,50 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
