for the inter-university Cluster Project A translational psychiatric approach to adolescent anorexia nervosa at the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology

General description:
We offer a full-time position for a university assistant (post doc) within the Inter-university cluster-project of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna A translational psychiatric approach to adolescent anorexia nervosa (PI Associate Professor Giorgia Silani) at the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.
The project main goals are: 1) the characterization of the psychological and neurobiological basis of reward processing in AN-patients at different stages of the illness and 2) the precise description of the phenotypes (clinical, comorbidity, psychosocial risk history) and genotypes (polygenic risk scores) of adolescent AN patients in order to identify stage/recovery-related markers related to reward processing. This will include in-depth assessments of eating disorder pathology, psychiatric comorbidities, risk factors, several neuropsychological and neuro-biological measures (diffusion tensor imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy imaging and quantitative MRI) and genetic risk analysis. The post-doc will be both scientifically and structurally involved in the project regarding the neuroimaging part.
Duration of employment: 18 months
Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

- Publications in renowned, subject-relevant journals (peer-reviewed)
- International presentation experience.
