The position is meant to provide a young scientist in the years after obtaining a Ph.D. with support to broaden and deepen his or her research agenda. Employment (40 hrs/week) is based on a 3-year contract.

Job Description:
The successful applicant will join the faculty and participate in the department's research, teaching (to the extent regulated by the collective bargaining agreement), and administrative activities. In particular, the candidate is expected to participate in research projects leading to international publications and presentations.
Profile:
Ph.D. in statistics (completed or pending completion); strong background in mathematical statistics and probability theory; research experience with predictive inference for high-dimensional regression models with particular focus on the Jackknife and related methods.
Good command of English, and Computer Skills.
