The Faculty of Psychology consists of the Deans office, the “StudiesServiceCenter”, as well as 4 departments:
- Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology
- Department of Clinical and Health Psychology
- Department of Occupational, Economic and Social Psychology
- Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology
Additionally, an Outpatient Department for Research, Teaching and Practice. Currently, nearly 3,500 students of Psychology are enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's and PhD programmes, attending nearly 200 courses per semester, which are taught and supervised by 220 teachers.
The Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology
offers the position of a Pre-Doc University Assistant by the earliest possible. Employment is based on a contract for a maximum of 4 years.
Applicants should have a strong interest in human brain imaging, and in data science. Projects will include (real-time) fMRI studies, focusing on the development of translational neuroimaging methods.
We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. Teaching assignments are possible according to the extent regulated by the collective agreement.
Candidates should hold a very good university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in neuroscience, psychology or a related field (e.g., neuroscience, computer science, biomedical engineering, or physics).
Excellent communication skills - ability to work in a team - autonomous and proactive work style - experience in teaching and supervision – solid experience in the analysis of brain imaging data and signal processing.
