The Vienna Doctoral School in Physics (VDSP) offers a PhD position on Magnetically Driven Active Topological Glasses. With this fellowship, VDSP aims at financing excellent PhD researchers for a period of four years. For more information, see our website (https://vds-physics.univie.ac.at).

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
Participation in research, teaching and administration. Active participation in research projects and in publications. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months, to become a member of the Vienna Doctoral School in Physics, and to actively participate in its activities. Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement.
Profile:
- MSc or equivalent in a field of study present or related to the VDSP. This requirement needs to be fulfilled until the start of the employment.
- At the time of their application, applicants already have to be accepted by the supervisors as PhD candidate.

- Excellent command of written and spoken English
