Inthera Bioscience is a private biopharmaceutical company located in Wädenswil, near Zürich, Switzerland. We are focusing on the development of inhibitors of intracellular protein-protein interactions employing a proprietary technology platform, whose broad applicability has been demonstrated against several targets in oncology. Our drug candidates are orally bioavailable, and the most advanced of these first-in-class therapeutics is currently entering the preclinical development stage.


At Inthera, you will be part of a dynamic team highly engaged in research and drug discovery in the area of transcriptional therapeutics in oncology. You will be expected to show a proactive, hands-on working style thus actively contributing to growth of our biotech company.


Postdoctoral Researcher / Research Associate at Inthera Bioscience AG

in Wädenswil (near Zürich)

Your tasks and responsibilities include:


  • Independently OR as coordinated by the respective Biology Team Lead design and execute experiments to (1) profile novel small-molecule inhibitors in biochemical as well as cellular assays and to characterize their mechanism of action in cancer-related in in vitro models (2) express and purify proteins/protein domains to enable binding assays as well as biochemical assays for small molecule inhibitors
  • Present results in internal research and management teams
  • Collaborate and interact with internal and external staff (e.g. academic community or other companies)


Who you are


  • PhD degree in life science, e.g. biochemistry, biology, molecular medicine or in a related field OR B.Sc./M.Sc./trained laboratory technician for the Research Associate position
  • In-depth knowledge in protein biochemistry, molecular pharmacology and molecular cell biology
  • Hands-on experience in protein purification and analysis is mandatory
  • Experience in computational and/or structural biology and/or small molecule binding assays is of great advantage
  • Ability to work, collaborate and communicate within a small team operating in a fast-paced biotech environment
  • Positive can-do attitude and the willingness to learn 
  • Highly creative person with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as the eagerness to tackle challenging tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skill, both in German and English
