The University of St.Gallen and its School of Management are inviting applications for an Associate or Assistant Professorship in the field of Strategic Management and Geopolitics. The triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) university offers a stimulating and well-equipped research environment with a large network ranging from start-ups, small businesses to large firms to engage in research.

The new professorship in the School of Management will be invited to become part of our dynamic faculty. We are seeking a Management scholar with a proven expertise in any of the key domains in Strategic Management at the interface of Corporate Strategy and Geopolitics. The ideal candidate for the associate level has an internationally recognized and leading track record in research in leading journals in the field of Strategic Management, International Business, and Non-Market Strategy, reflected in multiple publications in top journals (FT 50), a pipeline of promising research projects, and a strong international academic network, ties with industry, and excellent teaching skills on all levels, including executives.

In accordance with our claim “From insight to impact” the future colleague should convey scientific knowledge to students in the School of Management and the School of Economics and Political Science and have a significant impact on theory and practice. The candidate will also attract external research funding (e.g., SNF, InnoSuisse, industry collaborations), and contribute actively to the academic community, the Center for Geopolitics & Strategy, and the governance of the university. Associate Professors are tenured and full members of our fac-ulty with a path to full professorship. For an Assistant Professor, we expect applicants to show strong promise on all of these points.
