About us
The MR-Methodology-Group conducts research and development in the field of magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy and is run as an interdisciplinary unit.Your profile
The professorship for “Translational MR-Methodology- is to be filled with an internationally recognized personality with a proven profile in the development of high-field imaging including 7 Tesla. Applicants have a background in physics with a corresponding technology pathway to the clinic or an MD-PhD degree with experience/further training in the relevant field, in each case with a proven focus in MR-sequence development. Expertise in metabolic imaging or another innovative field is an advantage. In addition, existing industry cooperations in this field are preferable.Furthermore, a strong interest in translational research in the field of MR-methodology is essential. Regular publication activity, successful acquisition of competitive external funding and strong international collaborations in academia and with industry partners are required.
A high degree of integration and teamwork skills as well as the willingness to cooperate with clinical disciplines is essential. The position also involves integration into existing structures of the Translational Imaging Center Bern TIC.
A habilitation or an equivalent academic record is required. Besides teaching skills and an interest in innovative and contemporary teaching and learning concepts, also a strong commitment to the promotion of young researchers, in particular in the supervision of PhD students, is expected.
