Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences (formerly Berlin International) is state-recognized, institutionally accredited, and offers English-taught degree programs in architecture, design, and business administration. Founded in 2014, Whitecliffe has built a uniquely international profile in Germany, with around 550 students of roughly 93 nationalities and 60 staff members. The language of instruction and administration is English.

For the Faculty of Business Administration (FoB), we are looking for a: Professor of Business Administration (f/m/d) (part-time 50% up to full-time 100%)

The Faculty of Business Administration (FoB) offers bachelor's and master's programs in Business Administration.  To support our continued growth, we are seeking a professor with an international background and substantial academic experience, evidenced by a strong publication record, as well as relevant professional experience.

Job Profile

We are looking for an engaging educator and active researcher with a solid general foundation in business administration who can connect it to the technological transformation of business. A focus on a field such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Digital Marketing, Finance, Financial Accounting, or Costing/Management Accounting is highly valued.

An important focus of this professorship is the impact of Artificial Intelligence on business. An awareness of how Artificial Intelligence affects business models, management, and leadership is particularly welcome, and we encourage candidates to reflect this in their teaching where relevant. We expect strong links to relevant industries and institutions, alongside an interdisciplinary and intercultural teaching approach.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities correspond to those of a professorship as defined by the Berliner Hochschulgesetz (BerlHG) and Whitecliffe Berlin's internal regulations, including a standard teaching load of up to 18 SWS per semester at full-time (pro-rated for part-time appointments), research activities, and administrative tasks.

Requirements (§100 Berlin Higher Education Act)

• Doctorate and a strong record of research output
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience, at least 3 of them outside academia
• Broad teaching experience
• Excellent English
• Intercultural awareness and competence preferably from earning university degrees abroad or international work experience
• A strong interest in contributing to the continuous growth of Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences

Additional preferred skills

• Language skills, especially in German
• A sound understanding of the higher education systems in Germany and Berlin specifically
