About the position

Bard College Berlin seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor of art with a specialization in time-based media (film, video and / or multimedia) to begin in September 2026. Tasks essential to the role include teaching 3 courses per year (one course is 3 hours per week in a 14-week teaching semester), supervision of final-year projects, and outreach for BCB’s art programs.

Conditions of appointment are governed by §100 of the Berlin University Law.

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will have a record of internationally-recognized achievement as a practicing artist in the field of time-based media and teaching experience in a university context.
