The successful candidate combines enthusiasm for research-based teaching and the development of new courses to further shape the Computer Science programs at the University of St. Gallen, supported by a research track record in their field. They have a passion for excellent teaching and curricular design. Teaching responsibilities include topics ranging from Introduction to Programming to Algorithms and Data Structures, including current developments in these fields.
We are looking for a team-oriented and committed personality whose research activities offer links to other research groups at the School of Computer Science, as well as to institutes across research fields represented at the University of St. Gallen. The successful candidate should become an active member of the faculty and be eager to engage in outreach activities with diverse stakeholder groups (e.g., schools, company partners). Ideally, they should have experience in acquiring external funding from private entities or public funding bodies.
The School of Computer Science currently hosts almost 100 academic and administrative employees from diverse backgrounds and has been committed to increasing diversity across dimensions since its inception. We are strongly committed to promoting equal opportunities and specifically encourage women and applicants from backgrounds underrepresented among our current faculty to apply.
