An der Theologischen Fakultät ist zum 1. April 2028 eine Professur im Beamtenverhältnis auf Lebenszeit (BesGr. W3 NBesO) zu besetzen:

W3-Professur für Systematische Theologie / Lutherische Dogmatik und Religionsphilosophie (w/m/d)

Gesucht wird eine engagierte und teamorientierte Persönlichkeit, die das gesamte Gebiet der Dogmatik in Forschung und Lehre vertreten soll, auch im englischsprachigen Studiengang Intercultural Theology. Ein zentraler Forschungsschwerpunkt soll dabei auf der Lutherischen Dogmatik in Geschichte und Gegenwart, auch in internationaler Perspektive und mit ökumenischer Ausrichtung liegen. Darüber hinaus wird ein erkennbarer Schwerpunkt auf dem Diskursfeld Glauben und Wissen, vor allem in der Religionsphilosophie, aber etwa auch in der Fundamentalanthropologie oder der Debatte zwischen Theologie und Naturwissenschaften erwartet. Die Universität legt Wert auf forschungsorientierte Lehre.

Bewerbungsvoraussetzungen sind eine herausragende Dissertation, eine abgeschlossene Habilitation oder habilitationsäquivalente Leistungen im Fach Systematische Theologie, weitere hochrangige Leistungen in Forschung und Lehre sowie Erfahrungen in der Drittmitteleinwerbung.

Die Mitwirkung an innerfakultären Forschungsprojekten und fakultäts­übergreifenden Forschungsverbünden wird ebenso erwartet wie das Engagement zur Einwerbung von Drittmitteln und die Teilnahme an der akademischen Selbstverwaltung.

The Faculty of Theology invites applications for a permanent professorship with civil servant status (grade W3 NBesO) starting on 1 April 2028:

W3 Professorship in Systematic Theology / Lutheran Dogmatics and Philosophy of Religion (f/m/d)

We are looking for a team-oriented and committed scholar who will represent the entire field of dogmatics in research and teaching, including in the English-language degree programme Intercultural Theology. A central focus of research should be on Lutheran dogmatics in history and the present, also from an international perspective, and with an ecumenical orientation. In addition, a recognisable focus on the discourse between faith and knowledge is expected, in particular in the philosophy of religion, but also in fundamental anthropology, or the debate between theology and sciences. The University of Göttingen attaches importance to research-oriented teaching.

Application requirements include an outstanding dissertation, a completed Habilitation or Habilitation-equivalent achievements in the field of systematic theology, other high-level achievements in research and teaching as well as experience in acquiring third-party funding.

Participation in intra-faculty research projects and inter-faculty research networks is expected, as is a commitment to acquiring third-party funding and participation in academic self-administration.
