Extent of employment: 100 % (40 hours/week)

Your responsibilities – what awaits you:
- Autonomous teaching primarily for the study programme “Robotics and Artificial Intelligence”
- Student supervision and mentoring
- Supervising student teams participating in student competitions
- Coordination of lab courses and the required teaching lab infrastructure
- Supporting teaching planning (internal and external lectures) and student examination
- Active participation in student acquisition, public relations and third mission activities, including organization of „Open Lab“ and „Science Night“ events
- Participation in research activities and administrative tasks of the Department of Networked and Embedded Systems and the Department of Smart Systems Technologies
Your profile:
- Completed doctoral degree from a recognised university in the field of information and communications engineering, robotics, electrical and computer engineering, or closely related fields
- Didactic competence and broad teaching experience at higher education institutions using established and innovative methods (e.g. digital teaching) in the relevant field
- Experience in (co-)supervising students
- Advanced programming skills, preferably in Python, C/C++, or Matlab; alternatively, in Java or C#
- >Experience with robotic platforms and software for robots (e.g. ROS/ROS2)
- Fluency in German and English
- Very good scientific communication and dissemination skills, i.e., the ability to present with clarity and rigour a technical subject

- Good social competences and ability to work in a team
- Experience with academic administrative duties
- Scientific contributions like authorship in publications or collaborations in research projects in the relevant field

The successful candidate will join the area of Information and Communications Engineering (Department of Networked and Embedded Systems and Department of Smart Systems Technologies) which is leading the university’s key research strength “Networked and Autonomous Systems”. The team is international with English as the working language and is dedicated to high quality in research and teaching. Teaching activities include lectures, courses, labs, and seminars for the established Bachelor’s programmes “Information and Communications Engineering (ICE)” and “Robotics and Artificial Intelligence” (both in English) as well as for the Master’s programme and doctoral programmes in “Information and Communications Engineering” (in English). The offices and laboratories are in the modern and well-equipped Lakeside Science & Technology Park.
