The Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology
is a high-profile, international research centre headquartered in Sydney, developing
technology that has the potential to revolutionise computing and communications
worldwide. The Centre is currently seeking an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow in the
field of experimental nano electronics.

About the role

$98,546 - $116,171 plus (9.5% Superannuation and annual leave loading)
Fixed Term (23 months)
The Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology is seeking a
Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of experimental nano electronics. Donors in silicon
are now widely considered as prime candidates for quantum computation
applications thanks to extraordinary long coherence times. New challenges include
quantum-information transport based on dipolar coupling of qubits to resonators.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow to work on experiments on
microwave addressing to donor and acceptor spins in silicon. The acceptor spin in
silicon is expected to have long coherence time and significant spin-orbit coupling.
The compatibility of these properties paves a way to realisation of a huge scale
quantum computing processor.

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

A PhD in physics or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in semiconductors, quantum mechanics and condensed
matter physics.
Proven track record to publish in high-impact journals.
You should systematically address the selection criteria listed within the position
description in your application. Please apply online - applications will not be accepted
if sent directly to the contact listed.
