The Department of Computing at Imperial College London invites applications for full-time faculty members at all levels who can contribute to research and teaching in the foundations and practice of Computer Science. We are recruiting in particular in the following areas:
Artificial intelligence, including but not limited to: machine learning (including applications such as computer vision), knowledge representation and reasoning, planning, game theory, verification, trustworthiness, fairness and explainability.
Hardware and systems, including but not limited to: computer architecture, distributed systems, databases, storage and memory systems, operating systems, networking, and verification.
Security, including but not limited to: cybersecurity, software and hardware security, systems security, data privacy, network security, malware, security of cyber-physical systems, security and assurance of AI and algorithmic approaches as well as cryptography.
Theoretical computer science, including but not limited to: algorithms and complexity theory, logic and semantics, and foundations of machine learning.
Notwithstanding the above focus, exceptional candidates from any area of Computer Science are also encouraged to apply.

You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a relevant field. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to establish outstanding independent research at national level and internationally for senior roles, to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in the Department, to supervise PhD students and to contribute to the administration and management of the Department.
