Associate Professorship in Insurance Economics (100%)

The University of St.Gallen and its School of Finance are seeking candidates for an associate professorship in the field of Insurance Economics. The triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) university offers a stimulating research environment and a large network of partner companies. The position will be affiliated with the Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW-HSG) which ranges among the top academic institutions in Risk Management and Insurance worldwide. The candidate is expected to contribute to research, innovative teaching, and knowledge transfer into policy and industry. The new associate professor will become part of a dynamic team with strong ties in the international Risk Management and Insurance Economics community. The position involves teaching at all levels (including executive education) as well as contributing to the further development of the insurance curriculum. We are looking for a candidate with an internationally recognised research track record in the leading journals in the field, excellent teaching skills, experience in the acquisition of third-party funding, and the willingness to engage in policy and industry outreach. We seek candidates per September 1st 2021 or by mutual agreement.
