Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg – invites applications for the following position to be filled
as soon as possible:
Full (W3) Professorship for Degenerative and Chronic
Diseases, Movement
The successful candidate should be internationally recognized in the field of research on
degenerative and chronic diseases with a focus on therapy and prevention through physical
activity. One focus of the professorship is the handling of mechanisms, dose effect relations,
and the efficiency of physical activity for patients of all age groups.
We expect applicants to hold a completed degree in human medicine and a physician‘s
license, as well as several years of experience with clinical and experimental studies.
Methodological expertise in the area of study design, stationary and mobile diagnostics, as
well as international networking and success in obtaining external funding are expected.
The professorship will focus on musculoskeletal research and related fields in the Faculty of
Health Sciences, which is in the process of being established. The central research topic of
the new faculty is the medicine and health of aging. The holder of this position will be involved
in teaching in new degree programs with a focus on Public Health, Exercise and Nutrition and
will be able to fully represent the subject to be covered in teaching.
