Junior Group Leader position
starting date can be 01.07.2019, for a two-year program (period of employment according to Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (WissZeitVG), with 100 % of the regular weekly working hours.
IPF (www.ipfdd.de) is one of the globally largest polymer materials research facilities combining competences in natural and engineering sciences.
In a holistic approach, the institute covers synthesis and modification of polymer materials, characterization,
theoretical investigation and simulation of synthetic and biological polymers, up to processing, testing and specific aspects of applications.
Open Topic Program:
Postdoctoral researchers with excellent scientific track record are invited to present proposals for independent research projects in topical fields topics in polymer science to be
implemented at IPF. Topics addressing any of the above mentioned areas of polymer material science are welcome, including aspects of data-based materials science. The successful
candidates will receive start-up package and institutional support to apply for junior group funding, e.g. from German Research Foundation (DFG; Emmy Noether program) or European
Union (ERC starting investigator program or BMBF).
The junior research groups will become part of an internationally visible, well-equipped, interdisciplinary
and dynamic institute with close ties to the Excellence University TU Dresden (www.tu-dresden.de) and other outstanding research institutions and centers with a strong focus on biomedicine and bioengineering, material science and engineering, and communication technology
Preference is given to severely disabled applicants, if they have the same level of qualification. IPF attaches importance to equal professional treatment of women and men.
