Senior Research Group Leader (w/m/d) for dementia specific health care research (preferred with background in Nursing, Public Health, Sociology, Psychology)

The DZNE Witten site develops; tests and implements care interventions and concepts for people with dementia and their social network. Our research addresses dementia
specific psychosocial interventions, requirements of care structures as well as person-centered, preference based care. Furthermore, participatory research is of high
relevance for our research projects. We are seeking an individual with a track record in dementia research, nationally and internationally to continue and enhance our
research profile.
Your tasks
Leading a research group with a specific focus on the development of dementia specific, psychosocial interventions for people with dementia and their social network
Including
- Initiating, planning, conducting intervention studies
- Participating in clinical research studies in collaboration with other DZNE sites and/or other universities
- Initiating of and participating in international dementia related research projects
- Furthermore,
- leading an interdisciplinary research group and working together with other senior research group leaders at the DZNE Witten
- contributing to the mission of the DZNE and the DZNE Witten
- representing our site within the DZNE and outside the DZNE WItten
Academic qualifications
- PhD (preferred in nursing science or sociology or psychology)
- Expertise in leading health care or health service research projects (specifically effectiveness and efficacy studies), including expertise in dementia research
- Successful in acquiring third party funding (nationally / internationally)
- Knowledge of dementia specific care challenges across settings
- List of international publications with high impact
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
