The Department of Economics is part of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics. We are a highly international and research-oriented Department. More than 30 full-time junior and senior professors together with numerous PhD students form an international community dedicated to studying all aspects of economics. Applicants should have completed (or should be very close to finishing) a PhD in Economics. Expertise in behavioral or experimental economics is required. Knowledge of German is an asset but not required.
Applications should include a curriculum vitae detailing the candidates education, teaching experience, list of publications, and a letter of motivation. Applicants are also required to submit a cover letter that includes a statement on why they are interested in working in the Department of Economics at the University of Vienna and up to two selected papers. Three letters of reference should be sent by the referees directly to email@example.com. We will also be interviewing at the job market (EEA job market in Rotterdam, December 18 - 19, 2019).
