The position is available from October 2024 and is initially limited to three years with the possibility for a one-time extension for another three years. In principle, this position can be divided into two part-time positions.

In the
Microsociology Research Group
(Prof. Dr. Claudia Diehl), we are offering a doc/post doc position starting from October 1, 2024, at a full-time capacity (100 %). This position is intended for qualification and includes a teaching obligation of 4 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing your individual research profile and program

Publishing in high-level, peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences and workshops

Teaching of undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MA) courses in German and/or English, focusing on migration and/or inequality and supervising of students
Your Competencies
- Excellent master’s degree (for post docs: doctorate) in sociology or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on migration and/or inequality

Advanced and proven skills in quantitative research methods

Proficiency in statistical analysis software (especially Stata)

Ability and willingness to work independently and in a team

Very good English skills (written and spoken)
