Identifying and Efficiently Computing Band-Edge Energies for Charge Transport Simulations in Strained Materials
to be filled.
The candidate will work on the efficient implementation of eigenvalue strategies for strained semiconductors, whose applications play a key role in photonics and quantum computing. Required are a scientific university degree (Master or Diploma) as well as a PhD in mathematics, physics or another related field.
Furthermore, the candidate should have worked with at least one programming language (such as e.g. Julia, Matlab, Python) and have a decent command of the English language. It is desirable if the candidate has experience with team work and an interest in interdisciplinary research.

Im Math+-Projekt

Das Projekt beschäftigt sich mit der effizienten Implementation von Eigenwert-Strategien für verspannte Halbleiter, deren Anwendungen eine Schlüsselrolle in Photonik und Quantum Computing einnehmen.
Voraussetzung sind ein wissenschaftlicher Hochschulabschluss (Master oder Diplom) sowie eine Promotion in Mathematik, Physik oder einem anderen verwandten Gebiet. Darüber hinaus sollte der/die Kandidat*in mit der englischen Sprache sowie mindestens einer Programmiersprache wie zum Beispiel Julia, Matlab, Python vertraut sein. Die Stelle ist auf ein Jahr bis zum 31.03.2023 befristet. Es handelt sich um eine Vollzeit-Stelle mit einer wöchentlichen Arbeitszeit von 39 Stunden, die nach dem TVöD Bund vergütet wird.
