The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Rostock invites applications for a
W2-Professorship for „Synergies between
Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis“
Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis“
at the Institute of Chemistry in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis e. V. (LIKAT) for the following position, subject to budgetary regulations.
With the filling of the position, LIKAT is to be strengthened with regard to the development of future-oriented synthesis methods and innovative catalytic processes in the border area between heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis. The future research of the person to be appointed should therefore take place at the interface between heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, organic synthesis and the synthesis of valuable substances from regenerative sources. The willingness for intensive exchange and
cooperation with the established research areas of LIKAT as well as active participation in interdisciplinary research networks is expected. The applicant should have already attracted international attention through innovative basic research in both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis and have experience in both research areas. In addition, knowledge and experience in the field of biomass conversion of physical-organic chemistry and technical chemistry are desirable.
The University of Rostock has bundled its research activities in four profile lines. The future job holder is expected to work in one of these profile lines.
